DRESS CODE
- Proper athletic attire and footwear are required while using the club. Sneakers or closed-toe athletic shoes must be worn in all workout areas. Bare feet, flip flops, slides, sandals, open-toed shoes, dress shoes, and boots are not permitted in workout areas. Socks may be worn while training when appropriate. Bare feet are only permitted in the locker rooms, The Center, Flex Studio, and Pilates Studio.
- Tops and bottoms must be worn at all times in workout, recovery, lounge, and common areas. Men are required to wear shirts/tops. Jeans, workwear, ragged clothing, excessively loose clothing, or anything unsafe for equipment use is not permitted.
- Members are expected to wear clean attire and maintain proper hygiene. The Club reserves the right to determine whether attire or footwear is appropriate.
GENERAL CLUB INFORMATION
- Communications with members will largely be by email, so members should regularly check their emails for notifications and club news.
- Members must electronically check in with the SoWa Health + Wellness App upon every visit to the Club.
- No one other than Club employees is permitted in the Club before or after the scheduled hours of operation, which may be revised at any time by Club
- Smoking or vaping are not permitted anywhere in the Club.
- Food shall not be consumed anywhere in the Club except in the Cafe.
- Beverages must be carried in covered containers only. No glass containers are permitted.
- No alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the Club except the Golf Simulators.
- Alcoholic beverages must be purchased from SoWa Health + Wellness. Any outside alcohol is not permitted and may result in immediate termination of membership.
- Pets (except service animals) are not permitted in the Club at any time.
- Horseplay, ball playing, running or objectionable behavior, loud boisterous, obscene or offensive language, or open speaker radios or cellphones in the Club are not permitted. The Club reserves the right to ask any members or guests to leave the Club if their actions are deemed unsafe or in violation of Club policy
CELL PHONE USE
- Phone calls, FaceTime, video calls, voice calls, and speakerphone use are not permitted on the Club floor or in workout areas. Calls may only be taken in the locker room lounge area.
- Members are asked to limit cell phone use while using equipment, especially during peak hours, as a courtesy to others waiting to use machines or training spaces.
- Photography and video recording are permitted only when done respectfully and without disrupting or making others uncomfortable. Members must be mindful of those around them and may not intentionally record other members without permission. The SoWa team reserves the right to stop any photography or video recording if it becomes disruptive, inappropriate, or uncomfortable for others.
PERSONAL TRAINING
- Outside personal training is not permitted at SoWa Health & Wellness. Personal training may only be provided by SoWa Health & Wellness certified employees.
- Training conducted by anyone other than an authorized SoWa personal trainer is prohibited and may result in termination of membership. This includes in-person training, remote coaching, and training sessions conducted by phone, FaceTime, video call, voice call, or speakerphone while using the facility.
FREE WEIGHTS AND EXERCISE MACHINES
- Disinfectant wipes are available in several locations in the Club. Each member must wipe all equipment clean after each use as a courtesy to others.
- Members must be courteous to other members and staff alike. Respect and courtesy go a long way.
- All work out bags, coats and other personal belongings must be stored in a locker during any member’s or guest’s workout. Belongings should never be left in walking paths or on equipment, preventing others use.
- Free weights are only permitted in the designated free weight area. Free weights and plates, upon completion of use must be returned to their proper racks.
- Don’t throw or drop equipment. Don’t hoard equipment. Equipment and machines must be used as intended by the manufacturer. Failure to do so may result in suspension of membership benefits.
- Chalk and liquid chalk are permitted, but members are responsible for cleaning up any residue completely after use. Chalk may not be left on equipment, flooring, benches, racks, or surrounding areas.
- Chalk use must not damage equipment, create a mess, or interfere with another member’s ability to safely and comfortably use the space.
- The use of gloves is recommended in the free weight area.
- When using strength training equipment, please allow others to “work in” to your routine when doing multiple sets.
- We are not responsible for personal exercise equipment or personal property (e.g. weight belts, gloves, cell phones, keys, etc) left in the Club.
- At no time shall any equipment be removed from the Club.
- Club equipment should be used only in the manner specified by the directions or as indicated on the equipment. Please ask a Club employee for assistance if you have any questions about proper use of equipment.
- Members shall not move or modify equipment in any way. Do not try to operate any malfunctioning or broken equipment. If you believe any piece of Club facilities, equipment or machinery are not operating properly or broken, you must immediately stop such facilities, equipment or machinery and must promptly notify Club staff.
CONTRAST THERAPY
- Members may use the Contrast Therapy (infrared sauna and cold plunge) only if determined by a physician to be sufficiently healthy to do so.
- SoWa Health and Wellness reserves the right to request a letter signed by that member’s physician attesting to the fact that the member is sufficiently healthy to use the Contrast Therapy.
- It shall be a condition of use by of the Contrast Therapy by any member or guest that each member or guest executes documents in the form prescribed by the Club and/or any manufacturer or supplier of any Contrast Therapy machinery or equipment.
GOLF SIMULATOR AREA
- Members and their guests must hit from the mat only, must not swing golf clubs while standing off of the mat and must aim toward the golf simulator screen.
- Only the person who is up and getting ready to hit the ball may stand on the mat. All other players, spectators, and other individuals must remain behind the designated mat boundary.
- Rowdiness and horseplay are not allowed and may give rise to removal from the Club.
- Although alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the golf simulator area, no alcoholic beverages shall ever be consumed on the mat.
- A waiver must be signed to rent SoWa clubs.
CLASSES
- Classes are included in the membership and are available for your enjoyment and well being.
- The warm-up is important! Please be on time. Once class begins, we do not allow late entry to avoid disruptions and ensure safety.
- There is “NO ENTRY” into any class after the 5 minute warm-up.
- Do not interrupt a Class or Instructor while it is in session. If you require a mat, weight or any other accessory please get one from another area in the Gym or ask for help at the Front Desk.
- If you have a complaint or need assistance, please go to the Front Desk.
SAUNA
- Members and guests must consult their physician before using the Sauna. It should not be used by anyone with high blood pressure or a background of circulatory illness.
- Do not put wet towels, articles of clothing or newspapers/magazines on heating elements in the Sauna or leave clothing or towels in the Sauna to dry. Any items found in the Sauna will be removed and discarded.
- Do not pour water, liquids or oils onto heating rocks, as this could cause a serious electrical accident and will shorten the life of the heating elements.
- The Sauna produces a dry heat and generally reaches temperatures of 180 degrees. Sauna-induced perspiration creates a skin cleansing effect from skin pores opening. It is not advisable to remain in the Sauna room for more than five minutes at any one time.
- Do not go directly into the Sauna following a strenuous exercise period, especially jogging. Rest and cool down. Allow your pulse to return as closely as possible to your resting heartbeat.
- Cell phones/devices are not permitted in the sauna.
- Shoes of any sort are not permitted in the sauna.
PARKING
- Validated parking is available while you’re actively using the gym as a member perk. It is intended for use during your visit and not for general parking or validating for others.
- Please be respectful of all members of our gym community, including the parking attendants. They are enforcing the rules set forth by management and any questions or concerns can be addressed to management, not parking staff.
- Parking availability can vary and may occasionally require parking in nearby locations, or, at times, limited on-site access.
INJURIES
- Members and guests must immediately report to Club employees any accident or injury occurring at the Club or as a result of use of the Club’s facilities, machinery or equipment, and if requested to do so, shall complete a written report of the accident or injury
- All persons using the club authorize emergency medical care and assume all related costs in connection with such emergency medical care.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
- Persons using Club facilities, machinery or equipment agree to pay for damage caused by them to such facilities, machinery or equipment or any third party property.
SUSPENSIONS AND/OR TERMINATION
- Access and use of the Club may be suspended or terminated at any time for violations of the Club’s Rules and Regulations by anyone and the Club reserves the right to revoke a membership without refund if any Club policies are disregarded.
AMENDMENTS
- The Club reserves the right to alter or amend these Rules and Regulations at any time without prior notice. Amendments to the Rules and Regulations will be posted on the Club website and emailed to all Club members in advance of their effective date.
Return Policy
- All lululemon merchandise purchased through SoWa Health + Wellness is eligible for return within seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase. Returns must be made in person at SoWa Health + Wellness and cannot be processed at any lululemon retail store or through lululemon’s customer service. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original condition: unworn, unused, unwashed, and with all original tags attached. The original purchase receipt must be presented at the time of return. Items that appear worn, damaged, soiled, or altered in any way are not eligible for return, and SoWa Health + Wellness reserves the right to deny any return that does not meet these criteria. All approved refunds will be processed to the original form of payment. No cash refunds will be issued for purchases made with a credit or debit card. Exchanges are not permitted; if an alternate item is desired, the original item must be returned (if eligible), and a new purchase must be completed. All returns are subject to final approval by management.
